Homeschoolers know that DNPE has annual testing requirements for homeschoolers, but DNPE doesn't provide information on how to make use of those assessments. Are some tests better than others? What if my student is acing a test? How do I know if my student is growing? How do different assessments compare? Which are valuable, and which are a waste of time?
This talk is for anyone currently homeschooling or considering homeschooling a gifted student in any grade. We will discuss which assessments can help a homeschooling parent to know about a student's current capabilities, which help measure growth, and how to interpret the results of various assessments to guide what to do next with your student. We will discuss which tests are required for various accelerated programs, and which tests are worth the cost. Tests covered will include IQ tests, COGAT, WJ, CAT, IOWA, MAP, SAT, ACT, CLT, AP, CLEP and more.
Free, but registration required. Limited to 20 participants.
Seminar is held live at the store.
