NCHE (North Carolinians for Home Education) was founded in 1984 by homeschool parents in order to protect the right to educate their children at home.

HSLDA is an a nonprofit organization with a mission to make homeschooling legal and possible. We know that homeschooling isn’t the best fit for everyone, and that’s okay. What’s important is that every family, regardless of ethnicity, religious background, or economic status, has the freedom to choose how their children are educated—and the support they need to help their children flourish.

The Museum of Life and Science offers a variety of classes for homeschooled students. Through these classes, we foster curiosity in the world around us and the use of science as a tool for exploring that world. Our educators utilize the Museum’s 84-acres of indoor and outdoor learning environments as a platform for inquiry-based and project-oriented activities.

HSLDA and Patrick Henry College launched the Academy in 2009 as a service to homeschool and private school families looking for ways to supplement their students’ high school education. Today, the Academy operates as a division of HSLDA dedicated to providing quality Christian online courses to students everywhere.

Beast Academy Online is a learning system that provides a complete curriculum for grades 2-5. The digital practice includes games, problems, and puzzles divided into chapters and units that follow the same sequence found in the Beast Academy book series.

The Art of Problem Solving online classes bring outstanding students together with highly accomplished instructors to prepare the students for the rigors of top-tier colleges and internationally competitive careers. The AoPS Online School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

The Lukeion Project offers live online synchronous and specialized semester classes. Courses include Latin and Greek languages, classical history, English literature, and more. These classes are primarily designed for the high school level but have broad appeal to young gifted and adult learners as well.

The Royal Fireworks Online Learning Community offers students an array of subjects, many of which you won't find anywhere else. They provide personalized instruction that accommodates children of a variety of ability levels, from those who are of average ability to those who are profoundly gifted and highly creative, as well as those who have dyslexia and other processing issues.
