ATTENTION BRIGHTLinks Community MEMBERS: All interested, local BL Homeschooling Families to Join US at our OPEN House from 10AM-12PM on Friday, September 2nd.

For the 2022-2023 school year, BRIGHTLinks, Inc. will be hosting its Friday courses at

a new location, SMILE Camp, 6301 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh NC 27606.

SMILE Camp is an organization in Raleigh that offers a variety of track-out and

summer camps to interested K-12 students in science, engineering, art, and other

subjects. SMILE is the creation of Roger and Karen Russell, who have decades of

combined experience teaching and mentoring students of all ages.

This new arrangement between BRIGHTLinks and SMILE will give BRIGHTLinks

students access to the staff and facilities at SMILE. BRIGHTlinks will share the larger

space with SMILE camp, who may be running camps at the time. While there may be

other students in the larger facility, our courses will not be part of the SMILE camps.

BRIGHTLinks will continue to offer tuition-free courses to its members, and our

offerings will now expand to new subjects based on SMILE courses and mentors.

Additional activities, clubs, and projects would also be welcome at the new location. It

is our hope that with this move, BRIGHTLinks will grow its opportunities to engage our

students in our community.

Because of this new arrangement, BRIGHTLinks will be offering the following courses

this fall, Fridays September 9 – November 18:

Introduction to Robotics 9 AM – 12 PM

Ceramics 9 AM – 12 PM

Introduction to Computer Science with SNAP! 9 AM – 10:30 AM

Math Club 10:30 AM – 12 PM
