We have an influx of elementary age HG/PG new families! Welcome! Who can recommend higher level books with appropriate content for Littles?

I remember my kids when they were younger they were voracious readers. Because they began reading at such an early age, they were moving up in interests and comprehension quickly. Finding books to meet this niche age group can be a challenge. What are some of your children's favorite books that are still age appropriate for our sensitive young, voracious readers?

I'll start...

FICTION: Mysterious Benedict Society series, A Series of Unfortunate Events series, Ungifted, Frecklejuice, Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle, Charlotte's Web, Amelia Bedelia, Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMNH, Tale of Despereaux, Black Beauty, Ann of Green Gables, Wonder, The Complete Chronicles of Narnia

NON-FICTION: What If? (Randall Munroe), Why is Snot Green? (and other Glenn Murphy books), Horrible Histories, Guts and Glory series.

Mensa has published lists by age for both fiction and non-fiction here: https://www.mensaforkids.org/achieve/excellence-in-reading/

BUT we want to know from real life people! What are your children's favorites?

Great idea! Growly series, Bob, Leonard My Life as a Cat, Hortin’s Miraculous Mechanisms, Very Very Far North and its sequel

Shorter chapter books: Ada Lace series, Deckawoo Drive series, Sprout Street Neighbors, Violet Mackerel, Magic School Bus chapter books (and picture books!)

We love DK Smithsonian reference books for non fiction!
