Outdoor STEM Adventures Series
This is not an official group event. It is not an advertisement as I am not affiliated with the company. I’m just a mom whose son LOVES taking these classes so (as usual) I’m doing my best to ensure they get enough registrations for it to happen, so you might see this cross posted in that effort.
Outdoor STEM Adventures is opening for another round of elementary-level homeschool classes starting Oct 2 in South Durham!
The classes cover 3rd-6th grade material. Each series of 3 classes is for a different grade level, but my young son loved all three series. It is outdoors, but masks are optional. I can say this in Brightlinks because ya'll will understand! He was actually 4 when we started (read well and had the requisite attention span, etc.) and he had a blast.
The material does cover grade standards, but it is a totally stress-free environment (no grades, evaluations, etc.), so it's perfect for my learner. The teacher (a mechanical engineer) is fantastic. His teaching style includes some lecture with hands-on and engaging activities throughout. As long as homeschoolers keep signing up, he will keep offering us these unique classes!
This will be our third year taking all three series and my son has gotten something new out of it each time he’s exposed to the material. This year there will be ferrofluid and liquid nitrogen!
Please contact the instructor (Eric) with any questions. More details about each series, registration, and contact info can be found on his website:

We hope to see you there and would love to connect with other group members in this kind of setting!

Thanks for sharing this, Heather!
