Music Camp Experience Cannon Music Camp at Appalachian State University
There are so many musical kids in our BL Community and finding wonderful camp opportunties to meet their need to be immersered in all things music! Our daughter had the opportunity to attend Cannon Music Camp at App State in Boone, NC during its 55th year of music camp.
Students from all over the country came to Boone to spend THREE weeks being exposed to private lessons and coaching, orchestras, bands, ensembles, choirs, performances, music theroy classes. Happy but tired, my rising 9th grade daughter would higly recommend this camp for any rising high school freshman through seniors.
Pros: Music School Experience; Primary instrument lessons with PhD instructors, chambers, and more; Vocal opportunties; beautiful Mountain Campus; scholarships available
Cons: The camp food was the main downside according to my daughter;
