Smooth Sailing on Summer Vacation
Summer break has arrived or is just around the corner for most BRIGHTLinks families. Oftentimes this milestone is met with feelings of joy, accomplishment, and relief. Then the real work begins on navigating the highs and lows of summer break schedules and family vacations! :)
At our house we discuss kinds of trips the kids would enjoy….where would you go, how would you get there…..sorts of conversations. Most recently it was airplanes, trains, cars, and JETPACKS!
No matter what method of transportation your family finds itself adventuring upon this summer, a few new travel game ideas could be a lifesaver on an unexpected delay or as a wind down from a long travel day. Here you will find our family’s top five, don’t leave home without them, travel games:
A new deck of cards and the Ultimate Book of Family Card Games . Instructions for 50 card games for all ages, rated from easy to hard, and all games your family will love!
Five Crowns – mini edition is a shorter version of the full size game, complete with smaller cards, and a compact travel tin.
When you only have 10 minutes to play a game, Coup is right up your alley. Influence, corruption, and assassins all in one (condensed) game and can be played anywhere!
Cooperative games are always fun and Hanabi Game is no exception. This travel edition is compact and requires you to build a fireworks display in a particular order while requiring teamwork as you cannot look at your own cards.
Attention puzzlers and single-player-game fans of all ages, introducing…Tantrix Discovery . This compact puzzle is perfect for tucking into a travel bag and working on anywhere. Ten, six-sided tiles provide the perfect challenge to constructing a complete circle of a given color.
